Yesterday, the third and last presentation of the book Somos Vasco-Argentinos. A recuperation of the historic memory took place at the Donostia Aquarium, after previous presentations in Baiona and Bilbao. The work has been published by the Basque Government as part of the Urazandi collection, dedicated to Basque Diaspora topics, and compiles a selection of presentations, comments, proposals and material generated at congresses in Argentina about the Basque-Argentine theme.
Donostia-San Sebastian. Hot of the press, the book was presented last week at the Basque Museum in Baiona, on Monday at the Euskal Museoa in Bilbao, and yesterday at the Donostia Aquarium. The presentation was conducted by Asier Vallejo Itsaso, Director for the Basque Community Abroad in the Basque Government.
Both authors, Josu Legarreta and Magdalena Mignaburu, on her last day in the Basque Country, also spoke. The book was jointly written by both, thanks to the use of new technologies like Skype.
Magdalena Mignaburu is a Basque-Argentine researcher that has published several books on topics and institutions in the Basque Diaspora, while Josu Legarreta served in the Basque Government for years as the Director of the Basque Communities Abroad.
