Donostia-San Sebastian. Korrika 18 wants to support audio-visual creation as part of this year’s edition and has announced a video-clip contest. The point of the contest is to spread the message and the motto of Korrika 18: Eman euskara elkarri (Give Basque to each other).
The video must meet two main requirements: it cannot last more than five minutes and include the Korrika 18 song, Bagoaz! by Esne Beltza (in its entirety or a part of it). You can see the video here. The format is open: version of the song, choreography, lip-sync, flash mobs, covers, dances or other type of video.
Videos should be sent via email to: korrikaklip@gmail.com, by March 12th. The prize is a bunch of Korrika 18 material. For complete information: here.
Recording in London tomorrow
The Euskal Etxea in London has already decided to participate in the contest and has summoned its members and friends tomorrow. The event will begin at 11 a.m. at Piccadilly Circus. From there they will record parts of the video in different parts of the city. The idea is to create a pantomime or parody of the video clip, so organizers are asking participants to come with certain musical instruments: “a broom for a guitar, a leek for a trumpet, a banana as an alboka…It will be fun!” they say.
