Jose Maria Olazabal, Jon Rahm, Adrian Otaegui, Borja Etchart, or Juan Sarasti, are Basque names who excel in this sport that enjoys great prestige in the US.  Each year, a number of young Basques begin, or continue, their studies at US colleges and universities with scholarships that allow them to advance in their sports careers.  There is a number of Basque clubs in the US that sponsor golf tournaments. Donostia-San Sebastian.  The following list from the Basque Golf Federation includes nine young golfers from the Basque Country who are currently studying in the US, and combining their studies and golf careers.  There may be more (if you know of any, please let us know).
