Laprida, Argentina. Led by Nicolas Chaves, the Lauburu Publishers have just published two new books, the first of the new collection “Hirusta Bilduma.” The works are by Ernesto Castillo Salaverry from Nicaragua, and Sergio Recarte from Argentina, Latin American writers with Basque roots.
In the case of Salaverry, Your Forgetfulness is Worse than Death includes the complete work of this poet considered one of the nicaraguans icons of the time, who passed away in 1978 at the age of 20 years old, during the Sandinista Revolution The book includes unpublished documents, family letters and a photo archive.
The End of the Trip is always Somewhere, by Sergio Recarte, includes nine unpublished stories, “set in a kind of dystopian reality. Common scenarios that are suddenly enveloped by the mystique of the conspiracy and where (…) life, politics and writing merge into a single concept, to give rise to heartbreaking images and fundamental testimonies about the last civil-military dictatorship,” Lauburu sources explain.
