Chascomus, Argentina. The photo exhibit “Gernikako Bonbardaketa – the Bombing of Gernika,’ was created with the collaboration of the Basque Government, the Gernika Peace Museum Foundation and the Delegation of Euskadi in Argentina – Mercosur. The exhibit was at the Vieja Estacion Cultural Center in Chascomus from May 4-11th. An Aurresku by Basque club dantzaris inaugurated the event followed by addresses about the bombing and the screening of two videos.
Inaugurated as part of the commemoration of the 82nd anniversary of the massacre, the exhibit received many visitors including seniors from the local high school. The closing of the exhibit is also up to the Basque club and included dantzaris from Eusko Hazia.
The Zingirako Euskaldunak stressed the success of the activity and would like to thank the local Mayor, Javier Gaston for his help and support; the secretary of Social Development, Fernanda Sallenave and to everyone at the Vieja Estacion Cultural Center for their excellent display.
