Korrika 19 started last Thursday in Urepele and has travelled several thousand kilometers touring the Basque geography.  In the Diaspora, in the meantime, the effort in favor of the Basque language has arrived farther than ever: South Africa, Nicaragua, Sahara, Mexico, Australia….Following photos and video from the various activities.

Donostia-San Sebastian.   Korrika 19 has arrived in many countries already, thanks to the Basque Diaspora, crossing more borders than ever before.  For example, in Nicaragua, where a group of Education  and Social Work students doing practicums in the town of Masayan taught their students what the race is about at the Oscar Arnulfo Romero School. They left us this wonderful video:

In London, the London Basque Society is a veteran organizer of Korrka and this time they wanted to take it to the middle of the city, racing along the banks of the Thames.  Here is their video:

Korrika also made it to other places like Johannesburg (South Africa), the Sahara, Cancun, Barcelona, Sydney…we will publish a gallery of some of the best images.
