Jaialdi is a huge festival and event that takes place every five years in Idaho’s capital city. In its present edition was originally planned for 2020 then postponed to 2021 and now a second time, to the summer of 2022, due to the pandemic.
The note published by the local sporting organizations says: "Aupa Kuadrilla and Basque Soccer Friendly Lagunok (Friends), As you know, we were hoping to enjoy more professional soccer in Boise with you this summer. Nevertheless, increasing Covid-19 infection rates and slow vaccine rollouts both here and all around the world mean that we must postpone the Basque Soccer Friendly once again. Mark your calendars though; we plan to be back in July 2022!"
The organizers of “Basque Soccer Friendly,” also reminded us of their fundraiser "Kuadrilla 2020" t-shirt sale. The original date of the Athletic match in Boise was the summer of 2020 and later the festival and the match were pushed back by the Coronavirus to 2021, and now for a second time to 2022. T-shirts on sale were created for 2020, and can be purchased here for $20. All proceeds from t-shirt sales will go to St. Luke’s newly developed COVID-19 Response fund.
