Paraná, Argentina. The Urrundik Basque Association in Paraná will host the international Chess Tournament “Two Shores,” as part of tis 20th anniversary activities. The event, that was to be face-to-face but due to the pandemic has become virtual, will take place this Saturday, June 20th beginning at 4pm (Argentina time). Tournament participants hail from 19 Argentine provinces as well as from Uruguay, Paraguay, Venezuela and Spain.
During this first digital experiment, the Basque club will host the tournament on the Chess server, Lichess (Arena System, 3'+2'' c/Bersek). Even if the number of competitors has already surpassed 200, enrollment is still open. It is free and you can sign up here: https://lichess.org/tournament/YQvkm4Kg. Yes, why not? Tournament winners will be awarded 5,000 Pesos for 1st place and a total of 10 cash prizes. More information and complete rules are available here.
