Following the resignation of the person who was initially assigned the post, the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country, published this month the naming of Intza Balenciaga, who had been initially named to serve in Vitoria-Gasteiz, for the vacancy in Boise, Idaho beginning on December 16th, although she is not expected in Boise until the beginning of the new year due to visa constraints. Mikel Moreno Fernandez will be the new intern at the Directorate for the Basque Community Abroad in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Vitoria-Gasteiz. According to the Resolution signed by Asier Vallejo, Director of the Basque Community Abroad, Intza Balenciaga Soraluce, will be the new intern in the US, after Amaia Goñi Zabalegui’s resignation. Balenciaga has then opted to go to Boise instead of staying at her original post offered to her in Vitoria-Gasteiz at the headquarters of the Directorate of the Basque Community Abroad.
In fact, since the Resolution has been published, once her visa is squared away, she will then travel to Boise during the first weeks of 2017, and will stay there until the end of her internship in June of the same year.
Intza Balenciaga will ork at this Basque Government office in Boise that was inaugurated in April 2013 by Miren Pérez Eguireun from Bilbao, and then by Jon García Gerenabarrena from Gasteiz in 2015.
