Saladillo, Argentina. Yesterday, the city of Saldillo began work to convert the local Basque club facilities into an eventual containment space for patients with COVID-19, and relieve, in this way, the local Dr. Posadas Hospital avoiding an eventual collapse of its facilities. According to Basque club sources, work done includes installing extra showers to guarantee the personal hygiene of those who will come to the facility.
“Today in Saldillo, there are no coronavirus infected people to date, despite which the city has made a call to local institutions to collaborate in case it becomes necessary. We felt it was important to provide our club house," Silvina Bordenave club spokesperson told EuskalKultura.eus.
“And we are sharing this in case other Basque clubs could do the same. There is a need for well-ventilated places.” A commendable initiative by the Saladillo Basque club, an attitude that will most likely be followed by other clubs in the country and around the world.
