La Plata, Argentina. The Euzko Etxea in La Plata has been reporting its activities, on the internet and on paper, for more than 15 years thanks to its newsletter Hargatik. It is a publication done by an Euskera group at the Basque club, which is evident by the Basque that it contains: the majority of the articles are published in both Spanish and Basque, a lot of work that makes it unique in the Basque-Argentinean Diaspora.
"Thanks to the selfless work done by the Basque group, the newspaper is able to get published", explains Stella Maris Iturbide to EuskalKultura.com, who is also part of the group that also counts on the collaboration of other club members and collaborates in other areas of Argentina and the Basque Country. “Sometimes we receive the articles in Basque and Spanish from the Basque Country, sometime only in Basque, and in these cases we translate them to Spanish. We also include notes and games created by our Basque students,” she adds.
The newsletter is available on the Euzko Etxea’s website: www.centrovasco.com, specifically under the Euskera section. Iturbide adds that they are open to more collaboration, anyone wishing to participate should write them at: euskarataldea@yahoo.com.ar.
