Azul, Argentina. As anticipated Sara Pagola, Delegate of Euskadi for Buenos Aires, is holding firm to her commitment to visit all of the Basque clubs in Mercosur. She will be in Azul this Friday as part of this tour where she will meet with club members and also explain Lehendakari Urkullu’s main guidelines for the Basque government. The event is today at 7pm at the clubhouse (Irigoyen 9226).
Continuing with weekend events, the club is inviting everyone to the ceremony where they will plant a seedling of the Tree of Gernika in the Immigrant Plaza in the city. The event will take place on Saturday at 10:30, at the aforementioned plaza located at the intersection of Malere and De las Carretas streets. Finally, Gure Txokoa will close the week participating in the 28th edition of the local Festival of Communities. For the occasion, and as in previous years, the club will have a stand that will provide information and products from Euskal Herria. The festival will take place at the Municipal Veredon starting at 8pm (remember that the Monday the 25th is a holiday in Argentina).
Gure Txokoa and its role in the community
The active participation of the Basque clubs in their communities has made institutions expand the range of activities offered to its members and friends.
