Azul, Argentina. The Gure Txokoa Basque Club in Azul has been busy over the last few days with its own events, as well as the city’s. On July 7th the club participated in the flag changing event on the Passage of Communities. During the ceremony that was attended by local authorities and representatives of other local foreign communities in Azul, the national anthem was sung and flags were raised. Fr. Marcos Ferreyra from Our Lady of the Rosary Parish blessed the badges.
Without a doubt, the most important event this week was the celebration of the Basque club's 25th anniversary. The festivities took place in two parts: lunch at the Arab Circle, and mass at Our Lady of Carmen Parish.
