Olavarría, Argentina. The city of Olavarria, in the province of Buenos Aires, celebrated its 151st anniversary with a party for 60,000 people in the Helios Eseverri Park. Organized by the city and local collectivities and institutions, sixty stands were set up that provided the audience a “true cultural and gastronomic show.” The local Basque club also joined in with a stand especially decorated for the occasion that provided typical dishes like “Tripes Bizkaian Style,” lamb stew, pintxos and desserts.”
On behalf of the club, Marisu Mendizabal expressed the joy of the members for having participated in such a large festival, and along with other local communities.
Regarding other special activities in November, the Basque club also hosted a very well attended event at the clubhouse on November 11th and a group from the institution also participated in Semana Nacional Vasca in Mar del Plata.
