Barcelona, Catalonia. This veteran festival presents the Catalonian capital with a varied panorama of Basque music that is now celebrating its 21st edition. Beginning on October 9th and running through December 14th, Catalonia's capital Euskal Etxea along with various locales in Barcelona will host Glaukoma, Smoking Souls, Doctor Deseo, Su ta Gar, Kepa Junkera, Willis Drummond, Zizel, Aneguria and Liher among others. Parallel activities will also accompany the concerts in the AlterEHsona program including children’s activities and workshops, everything organized by Bartzelonako Euskal Etxea.

These are the words used by the event’s organizers at the presentation of the festival, “Let’s take these lyrics by Glaukoma to make it very clear that we have come here to maintain the culture! We are now at 21 editions of EH Sona and we do so with concerts, workshops and children’s activities. This year we will also include a huge Basque-Catalan concert that nobody will want to miss. The largest festival of its kind beyond the borders of Euskal Herria resumes. Organized by the Euskal Etxea Cultural Center in Barclona, we have broken the barrier of 20 with the will to create, in the future, more complicity between Basque and Catalan music.
