Erro, Navarre. The annual event organized by the Navarrese association, Euskal Artzainak Ameriketan (EAA) will take place this year in Erro. Thanks to the EAA, and the local town hall and the local Elutseder Society, the event will begin tomorrow at 10am with several hundred former sheepherders that had been in America and their families. The day will include exhibits, videos, photos, concerts and at 11:15 those interestes will gather at the church for a concert by Bankako Menditarrak. Mass will begin at noon with the participation of the local choir followed by the traditional highball, lunch and greetings, reunions, music and dance round out the program.

Participating in the presentation of the event were the mayor of Erro, Enrique Garralda, the president of the EAA, Laura Igantzi, Adriana Marmaun (Euskal Artzainak Ameriketan and the local Elutseder Society), Amaia Iraizoz (Laia research group that is gathering data on sheepherders from the area that were in the states), Ignacio Marmaun (former sheepherder in the US from Erro), Nicanor Ancho (also Amerikanua from Aezkoa-Hiriberri); Jose Antonio Abaurrea (from Arrieta); Beñardo Villanueva (Hiriberri-Artzibar), Felix Almirantearena (Orbaizeta) and Alberto Urbeltz (Sorogain).
