The event, sponsored by the Basque club, made a special invitation to children and youth, namely the entry level. First place was won by Jeremias Martinez from Crespo, followed by Iñaki Uriona, Alexis Maldonado, Luisina Maleika, Daian Rene, Luciana Ibarra, Eros Giménez, Jorge Feruglio, Agustín Salcedo and Tomás Gómez Seib in the first 10 places.
After the matches, all the players were treated to refreshments and received a certificate, “since it has more to do with the educational and practice level,” explained the organizers. During the awards ceremony, tournament officials and relatives of the tournament’s namesake, Jose Jorge Echeverria, expressed their commitment to the continuation of the event and its incorporation into the club’s annual calendar of events.

It should also be mentioned that the panels that comprise Gernika 75th Anniversary have already toured much of Argentina, always pursuing the goal of getting to know in depth as well as denounce the bombing suffered by this Basque town on April 26, 1937. The traveling exhibit is a joint effort of the Basque Government’s Secretary General of Foreign Action, the Etxepare Basque Institute, and the Gernika Peace Museum Foundation.
