The Euskal Etxea in the Uruguayan Department of Flores will celebrate a quarter century since its foundation with its fourth Basque Festival that will take place in Trinidad on September 7, 10-11. The festivities include a varied program of activities that will also include the participation of other clubs from Uruguay and Brazil.
Flores, Uruguay. The Flores Euskal Etxea will celebrate its 25th birthday on September 7th and invites the community to join them at their 4th Basque Festival that will take place on September 7, 10-11. The program follows:
-September 7th, 20hs, in the Microcine Plaza, there will be an assembly and election of a new board of directors. There will be an exhibit of paintings of Basque farmhouses provided by the Euskal Erria Basque Club. After the assembly there will be a toast of thanks to all of the members and friends of the club who attended the meeting.
-September 10th, 21hs, At the Campestre Club, Wine Room: wine tasting from various bodegas, accompanied by Basque food with the participation of Chef Martin Luna.
-September 11th, 20hs, in Constitution Plaza, Basque Gastronomy Fair, with the presence of several Basque clubs from Uruguay and Brazil including the Saltoko Euskaldunen Taldea; the Grupo Fronterizo de Vascodescendientes from Rivera-Livramento; and Euskal Erria Basque Club from Montevideo. Besides the tasting and sale of food, there will also be crafts on exhibit and also for sale, music in a great Basque festival atmosphere.
