Fermin Muguruza is currently on tour in North America with singer Tania de Sousa and the group from Donostia, Niña Coyote & Chico Tornado. Last Saturday they were in San Francisco and this Wednesday, they will play in Los Angeles. On Saturday they will be in Baja California, Mexico, where they have a concert in the town of Mexicali that will include a retrospective of the documentaries that Muguruza has done in recent years.
Donostia-San Sebastian. With the echoes of Saturday’s concert in San Francisco still in the air, the Basque block made up of Fermin Muguruza, Tania de Sousa and Niña Coyote & Chico Tornado is now headed to Los Angeles where they will perform on Wednesday at The Virgil (4519 Santa Monica Boulevard).
On Saturday, the Basque musicians will cross the border to go to Mexicali, Baja California, where they will participate in a music festival celebrating 37 years of the IIC Museum, with Muguruza as the headliner. Mexicali has also included a retrospective of Muguruza’s documentaries in its program, with a showing of Next Station Music, Bass-que Culture, Checkpoint Rock-Songs from Palestine, Zuloak and No More Tour. The graphic novel, Black is beltza by Fermin Muguruza, Harkaitz Cano and Dr. Alderete will debut on November 13th.
