General Rodríguez, Argentina. The meeting took place on March 7th at the Municipal Sports Complex, where representatives of the Basque club and local authorities had dinner together. During more than two hours, members of the Eusko Aterpea board of directors talked with the authorities and reminded Mayor, Dario Kubar, of some of the pending topics that the city has for the local Basque community.
Specifically, they highlighted naming the plaza near the Euskal Etxea as the “Basque Plaza,” as well as an important artery in the city as “Basque Road,” and the collaboration of the city with the Basque Club's “Big Words,” program.
The Eusko Aterpea was happy with the meeting and is encouraged with the Great start to 2019 where they have already planned a food sale for Sunday, March 17th. The menu is grilled chicken and salad. More information here.
