Sao Pablo, Brazil. As one of its many attempts to unite, inform and “entertain members and friends,” the eldest Basque club in Sao Paulo has begun publishing Eusko Alkartasuna Comunica on its social media as well as sending it to 300 recipients. The newsletter, which is presented as "a summary of the 'postcards,' that we share online and a way to inform everyone of virtual activities,” is a collective creation of club members and the institution and addresses a great diversity of topics at the same time offering recreational options related to Basque culture such as movie recommendations.
The first issue of Eusko Alkartasuna Comunica corresponds to June-July and the second one will come out soon. Written in Portuguese, it has become the first virtual Basque culture newsletter in that language. If you would like to receive it, email the club at centrobasco.ea.sp@gmail.com.
Euskera classes
The club has also decided to continue strengthening the relationship between the local language and Euskera. As such, it has announced the second semester of Basque classes to begin on Saturday September 5th. The class is free, via Zoom and taught by Haritz Ormazabal.
