Posadas, Argentina. The course will include learning the language but will also cultural information to provide a more general education in regards to Basque culture. There will be two groups, beginning and basic level taught by Maria Silvia Soloaga, members of the Euskal Jatorri Basque Club with the collaboration of Basque speaking students from the Basque Country that currently live in Posadas. Classes will be held on Mondays from 2pm-4pm and will be part of the cultural offerings of the Secretary of Extension of the National University in Misiones. Classes run through December for total of 54 hours.
The local Basque club also extends an invitation to an informative talk about the course that will take place this Friday, May 10th at 4pm in the Public Library in Posadas.
Enrollment for the course is open and can be done by emailing a unam.rieir@gmail.com. Classes are free and for members of the UNaM and for Basque club members. If you don’t belong to either institutions, the cost of the course is $100 a month.
