Chacabuco, Argentina. Only a few days are left before the International Day of Euskera on December 3rd, the feast day of Saint Francis, and the Guillermo Larregui Basque Club let us know about some news regarding the Basque language and its diffusion outside of Euskal Herria. The Euskara Munduan Program, supported by HABE is coming again to Chacabuco after 15 years when the local Basque club will host the summer 2018 Barnetegi.
The Barnetegi will begin on January 13th and will gather representatives from Basque clubs in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. The organization of the activity will have the same characteristics as prior events, or classes in the morning from 9am-11am and again from 11:30am-1pm; in the afternoon there will be individual worktime from 6-7pm and again from 7:30-9pm. The teaching material and the dynamics of the classes prioritize the communicative competence, always based on linguistic themes that have been worked on over the last few months online. This year will also include preparation for the HABE exam that will take place in Argentina in 2019.
Lodging will be provided at the Hotel Avenida two blocks from the Basque club and classes and meals will take place at the clubhouse.
