Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Euskaltzaleak Euskaltegi in Buenos Aires will dedicate today’s online conference and gathering to its members and friend, Carlos Guthux who passed away a few days ago. The event will begin at 8pm, local time (1pm on Saturday in the Basque Country) on Facebook. Entitled “Iñaki Echeverria, Journey Through the Career of a Basque-Argentine Illustrator,” Alfonsina Leranoz will analyze the career of this artist from Balcarce with the collaboration of Iñaki Echeverria himself.
Among Iñaki’s publications are: Negro el 10 (Manoescrita publishers); Muffins (Manoescrita); Does a cow sometimes look you in the eye? Coauthored with Esteban Castroman (Cazador de ratas, Spain); “Beya, Saw the Face of God, coauthored by Gabriela Cabezon Camara (Eterna Cadencia), a novel that was declared of cultural and social interest by the legislature in Buenos Aires since it won the Alfredo Palacios award.
In 2016, he published The Life of an Overwhelmed Father (Lumen, Spain and Sudamericana, Argentina) and in 2019, What the Night Knows (Navona, Spain), coauthored by Carlos Salem; and Esma (Evaristo Publishers), a graphic novel coauthored by Juan Carra. Iñaki is part of the Reading Series that performs live murals. Creator and director along with Esteban Castroman, in the “Culture Side B,” on the digital diary Infobae. He habitually publishes in different graphic media in Argentina and abroad.
