Exactly what you will do if you win one of the prizes. And being six of them, the possibilities are that much greater. This time they are: two calendars (One from NABO and the classic Arantzazu 'tako'), a book-CD (about Manex Pagola, the author of songs like “Urtxintxak oihanean,” with text and recordings,) a book Euskera for Spanish Speakers, because laguages aren’t that different among them, and two CDs “Herri Miña, Songs of Being Far Away and Return,” for those in the Diaspora who are nostalgic; and “Bidarte,” by Patxi eta Konpania, essential for Basque circle dances.
Donostia- San Sebastian. The December raffle, last for this year, includes the following prizes:
- NABO Calendar: The wall calendar that is published annually by the North American Basque Organizations, the federation of Basque club in the US, essential for US Basque clubs, and if you win, also in your home.
- Arantzazuko egutegia: Another calendar, although different from the first. A classic in several homes in the Euskal Herria, daily friend of many Basques at a time when few things could be found in the Basque language. A 'analogic' complement in this world of technology.
- "Manex Pagola, bere kantagintza eta adibide" Book-CD (Elkar), Who hasn’t sung songs like "Urtxintxak ohanean?" Did you know it was written by the versatile and prolific Manex Pagola? Book in Basque that tells his story and includes his songs.
- "Euskera for Spanish Speakers,” by Beatriz Fernández, book (Erein). Informative book in Spanish written with scientific rigor, although entertaining and interesting. It will surprise you.
- "Herri Miña: Songs of Being Far Away and Return" (AusArts records- Klasikart). Basque songs for those who long for their country.
- "Bidarte" CD, by Patxi eta Konpania. Recently home from their tour of Argenitna. The book that is obligatory for fans of Basque circle dances, for individuals and of course for Basque dance groups and euskal etxeas.
