It's going to be little by little. As part of the improvements being made by EuskalKultura.com is the exciting project of a photo gallery that will include some of the best photos of life in the Diaspora. We have been reporting since 2001, and so want to share photos of meetings, projects, people and dreams, with our readers. The gallery that we will continue to add to each week, will include photos of all the Basque clubs and associations in the world and readers will be able not only to view them, but also comment on them, as well as share information with the rest of the readers. We are beginning with a few photos and are inviting you to take a look and comment on them.
Donostia-San Sebastian. Today we are presenting a very exciting project, EuskalKultura.com’s new Photo Gallery. This is only the begging but it will continue to grow as we add images to it every week in hopes of compiling the best graphic material over the last ten years from our reporting on the Basque Diaspora. We will give a face to everyone who maintains the Basque clubs and these pieces of the Basque Country alive as they grow all over the world.
You will find the Gallery on our front page under the daily news, and there a featured album with other smaller ones that will be updated weekly. At the top, the sections Photos and Vídeos will take you to the Gallery of photos in general that are classified by country and two search engines for words and labels, as well as a video section. They will be completed little by little. For now there will be three language versions, including English.
Comment and Share
Photos will be added each week, little by little, since our archive is very large, and especially during this time of budget cuts, our resources are limited. We invite you to take a look and take advantage of the new features of being able to comment on and share them via social media as well as adding names to photos that includes folks you know. We are counting on your collaboration.
Our hope is that this Gallery will eventually become a visual memory of the more recent Diaspora, and a graphic testimony for generations to come. We have a lot of material that we will publish every week. We hope you will help us by completing it and giving it life. Come on in and comment. Make yourself at home!
