For two days the architectural museum Poble Espanyol, located in Montjuic, will become a small piece of the Basque Country, thanks to the “Euskal Herria to Barcelona” Cultural Festival. The largest part of this open air museum will be the center of the activities with a complete program that includes food, workshops, tourist information, dance performances, rural sports and concerts….For all ages thanks to the Euskal Etxea in Barcelona.
Barcelona, Catalonia. The Barcelona Euskal Etxea in collaboration with institutions like Basque Tour, Hazi, Kalitatea and the Sagardi restaurant chain has organized a huge showing of Basque culture for this weekend. The festival will take place at the Poble Espanyol, architectural museum outside on the slopes of Mount Montjuic.
For two days there will be cultural activities, crafts, food and a txalaparta demonstration, Basque dances, herri kirolak and a photo exhibit by Igotz Ziarreta among others.
Admission is 5 Euros (4 Euros if accompanied by a coupon from the Sagardi restaurants) and 3 Euros for Basque club members. Children under the age of 12 are free.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11
-11am: Children’s workshop on mythological masks (picnic area)

Throughout the day the exhibit "We the Basques" by Igotz Ziarreta will be open at the Espai Guinovart; grill at the Sagardi along with a market of Basque products at the Main Square.
