Basque all over the world celebrated Euskera Day and in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay they weren’t left behind. Some of the events had more people, and others weren’t as well attended but all had the same goal: vindicate the right to study, speak, and live in the Basque language, in Euskal Herrria as well as in the Diaspora. Second installment of the ENE 2016.
Buenos Aires, Argentina. As part of the Euskara Munduan Program, sponsored by HABE and FEVA, many Basque teachers have been trained in South America. As a result, the number of clubs that provide the opportunity to study Basque, as well as about the language and the country where it is spoken has increased. Today’s installment includes a chronicle of events held at Basque clubs in Argentina, Uruguay and even at the Eusko Brasildar Etxea Basque Club in Sao Paulo, Brazil. We will continue with more ENE celebrations in coming articles.
