London, England. As every year at this time, Basque students and teachers and members and friends in general at the London Euskal Elkartea will celebrate the end of the course year with a fun activity and mintzapraktika (practicing of the language), this year on Saturday June 22nd, including an cruise from Westminster to Greenwich and a picnic with the possibility of visiting Cutty Sark. There will be food, music and dance in the park near the Greenwich Pier. “We will play the music loud enough so that those wanting to join us can find us easily,” club sources said.
Anyone wishing to join them can do so at their convenience. The first boat leaves at 10am and the last returns at 5:50pm, which will be used by the event organizers.
It is a good idea to get your boat tickets ahead of time, as well as those for Cutty Sark. It is not obligatory, but organizers would appreciate an email from those wishing to attend in order to facilitate the logistics of the day. Their email is londonbasquesociety@gmail.com.
