Villa María, Argentina. On last Thursday, March 25th the board of directors of the Euzko Etxea in Villa Maria met virtually, with Luis Carricaburu who has served as the club’s president until now, submitting his unwavering resignation presented both verbally and in writing. After the pertinent deliberation, it was accepted unanimously. It was also requested through the same route, that the Vice-President, Emilia Sugasti, assume the presidency, a proposal that was also considered and approved unanimously.
The new president indicated through a note that “beyond Luis’s good predisposition for a coordinated and friendly transfer of position and functions that does not affect the normal functioning of our Basque club, surely there will be decisions that concern a new hasty direction, but made up of the same people who make up this board of directors.”
“Our biggest challenge is working respectfully and including all members in each working group so it keeps being the privileged place, institutional as well as social, achieved by so many years of hard work,” Sugasti said.
Luis Carricaburu was elected in 2019.
