Christmas is just around the corner and many Basques in the Diaspora, as well as those in Euskal Herria, are looking for gifts with a Basque touch for their loved ones.  Taking advantage of actually being on time to order online, we are providing you a list of websites with Basque products, some of which are made by Basques in the Diaspora with an original touch.  A mate thermos with an Ikurriña? A goitibera made in Brooklyn?  Don’t miss out!

Donostia-San Sebastian.   Following is a list of websites that sell Basque products online, from the typical dance costume and baserritarra, to t-shirts, wine and jewelry.  This is not an exhaustive list but just a small selection.  We invite our readers to suggest others in our comments section.

Our selection:

-Bi Gara: From Pergamino, Argentina, Valentina Miguelena and Eliana Dubarry are creating a wide range of products that aren’t Basque but that are definitely, Basque-Argenitne.  Like thermoses and cups for mate decorated with an Ikurriña.  They are also products aimed at Basques in the Diaspora like a garment bag for dantzaris, along with bags specifically for alpargatas, that were super popular at this year’s Semana Vasca Argentina in Necochea.

Orders are made via Facebook: –Bi Gara–, or via mail –bigaravascas@hotmail.com–, including mode of delivery.

-Ekin Harriari: From Amorebieta, this Basque-Venezuelan, Itxaso Uzkanga (Valencia, Venezuela, 1977) sells t-shirts, pendants, and crafts related to the historical and artistic heritage of the Basque Country at her store Ekin Harriari. The t-shirt designs include Ikurriñas, lauburus, or eguzkilores, as well as images from the funerary stelae of Argiñeta, caves like Santimamiñe and Askondo, or some of the mountains including Gorbea, Txindoki and Anboto.

-Amarenak: Oihane Pardo, member of the Euskal Etxea in Shanghai returned to Euskal Herria in hopes of recuperating and renovating classical garments such as the kaiku.  Colorful designs and 100% Basque production here: amarenakshop.tictail.com.

-La Côte Basque: Founded in Brooklyn, NY as part of the ‬‭#‬hirurehunetahirurogeitabost‭ project, it presented its designs at Jaialdi in Boise.  We like the Goitibera t-shirt, or the Monument Valley Euskaldun of Haritz Ona.  Order here: La Côte Basque.
