José C. Paz, Argentina. The National University in Jose C. Paz has organized the third edition of its conference on migration on May 23-24 in hopes of “promoting exchange, debate on the multiple dimensions that constitute and encompass the migratory phenomenon.” For the first time, this year, the conference will include a discussion on Basque topics that will include the participation of various references in the community including the Delegate of Euskadi in Argentina and Mercosur, Sara Pagola, who will talk about the organized Basque community in Argentina and the role of the Delegation.
Panel participants will include our correspondent in Argentina, Sabrina Otegui, who wil present work done by the team at EuskalKultura.com as the only means of information and dissemination about, and for the Basque Diaspora; Basque teachers Martín Colombet and Darío Rodríguez who will talk abut Euskera in Argentina; María de los Ángeles Oñederra and Pilar Uribeondo y Ruiz who will talk about he history of the Toki Eder Basque Club; and again Pilar Uribeondo y Ruiz who will talk about her book Euskaldunak and Sprouts at Toki Eder.
The discussion on Basque topics, at the 12th edition of the conference is being coordinated by Sociologist, Paula Basaldua, professor at the university and member of Toki Eder.
