The regional Dantzari Get-Together at the Cañuelas Basque Club organized on Aberri Eguna, will be held this year on April 8-9.  The Basque club has published the price of the voucher made cheaper this year with lodging being provided by host Basque club families.  Along with this news, the club also announced that it represented the Basque community at the city’s 195th anniversary celebration as well. 

Cañuelas, Argentina.  The Denak Bat Basque Club invites all of the Basque clubs in the country to participate in the 11th Dantzari-Get-Together.  The event will take place on the second weekend in April and as every year, will begin on Saturday afternoon with a kalejira to the San Martin Plaza, followed by a dance performance, and dance with music provided by “El Jopo” Daniel Galfredo.

The festivities will continue on Sunday with a farewell lunch.  Denak Bat has published the price of the voucher for 2017 at 600 pesos for dantzaris, and dance group directors, as well as their companions.  This price includes the dance and lodging in SMATA, breakfast and farewell lunch.  In the same way, anyone wishing to eat lunch at the club on Saturday the 8th should add $70 extra.

Something new this year, to facilitate a larger attendance, Denak Bat is also providing the opportunity for each group to lodge 20% of their dancers with families, decreasing the price of the voucher to $300 per dantzari.

Organizers would also like to remind attendees that each delegation should present a dance and should also be accompanied by representatives of the Basque club that they represent.  The deadline to register is March 24^th.

Cañuelas 195th Anniversary

On January 22nd, Denak Bat joined in the festivities of the 195th anniversary of the city.  The celebration gathered authorities, institutional representatives, and neighbors.  The event began with the raising of the national, provincial and municipal flags.  Throughout the day there were gatherings, a parade, and national folkloric dancing.

The Basque club was also a participant, with a cultural stand on San Martin Plaza.  A large number of people visited them, including the local mayor, Marisa Fassi.
