Many Basque clubs, as well as federations, like FEVA, will participate in this year’s grant process
As we pointed out in yesterday’s bulletin, the call for the 2017 Basque Government grants for Basque clubs appeared in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country (EHAA-BOPV) on June 21st with a budget of 902,307 Euros distributed in 782,307 Euros for Chapter IV activities and the remaining 120,000Euros for Chapter VII activities. Today begins the month-long window to apply that concludes on Friday, July 21.
Vitoria-Gasteiz. This is the main call for grants aimed at Basque clubs to support financing operating expenses, activities as well as for costs associated with infrastructure.
The total grant budget is 902,307 Euros that are distributed in the following way:
- 782,307 Euros are destined for Chapter IV that includes funding for operating expenses, as well as carrying out annual programs and activities of a non-profit nature preferable in the following areas: youth; women; external image and communication; and the recovery of historical memory. Eligible club operating expenses include salaries, social security, travel expenses, water, electricity, heating, taxes, insurance, rentals and the like, but cannot exceed expenses for activities, and are limited to 50% of the grant award.
- 120,000 Euros are destined to Chapter VII that includes infrastructure and equipment costs including costs for Center prioritizing repairs needing to be made caused by disasters or catastrophes, removal of architectural barriers, new Basque clubhouse construction, or spaces for youth and the introduction of technology needed for activities involving women and youth.
The minimum grant award is 300 and the maximum is 30,000 Euros; or 50,000 in the case of Basque club federations.

The deadline to apply is July 21st. The Administration allows six months to resolve the call.
