Donostia-San Sebastián. The third and final installment. In the age of globalization, it seems to be worth adding to the global contribution and maintaining the same. This is what the Basques achieved without knowing what they were doing. Those who for centuries left Euskal Herria taking their country with them. Thanks to them, today there are expression s of Basque culture, customs, and their way of being an their language in all corners of the world.
The work that began with those immigrants was continued by Basque clubs that they also constructed. It is above all due to these clubs that today we can say that Euskal Herria has seven territories in Europe, along with an eighth in the Diaspora that completes the people and Basque nation.
To pay tribute to the work and commitment to the Diaspora, the Director of the Basque Community Abroad led by Gorka Alvarez Aranburu proposed celebrating Day of the Basque Diaspora in 2018 every year on September 8th. In this its second edition, more Basque clubs from all over the world joined in and were part of various gatherings and celebrations.
Today, EuskalKultura.eus, presents the third and last installment of Day of the Basque Diaspora in the world. Zorionak to the Basques and Basque clubs and communities for your work and for your unwavering commitment!
