Colonia Barón, Argentina. Colonia Baron, in the Province of La Pampa, Argentina, celebrated its 23rd edition of its Festival of Collectivities on Sunday, October 14th with a day that was divided into two parts: tributes and a parade in the morning, at Immigrant Plaza, and music and dance performances in the afternoon at the municipal auditorium. The event was presided by the local mayor, Sonia Luengo, and her cabinet, and was attended by some 4,000 people, according to the local daily Hora de Opinion.
From the Province of Buenos Aires, invited by the organizers, the Centro Navarro in Bolivar participated in the event with its dantzaris. The all girl team traveled some 300 kilometers to attend. They were in the parade with the Navarrese Coat of Arms and performed in front of officials.
The dance group and the “Navarrese Roots” choir are the main pillars of the Centro Navarro in Bolivar. The club holds activities all year, with San Fermin being their largest event held in July.
