Cañuelas, Argentina. The city of Cañuelas celebrated 197 years with an official event on January 22nd, at the city’s main plaza. The ceremony was led by Mayor Gustavo Arrieta and the Chief of Staff, Marisa Fassi, along with other officials and representatives of different institutions and community organizations, including the Basques. During the event, there was a wreath laid in honor of the city’s founders.
The local Denak Bat Basque Club accompanied the community at this event, this time with a group of dantzaris and standard-bearers who carried the Basque and Argentine flags.
Denak Bat also let EuskalKultura.com know that next week the price of the voucher for the Dantzari Gathering for Aberri Eguna, April 6-7, 2019 will be published.
