The magazine Gaztezulo, with the support of the Azkue Foundation, has launched the 7th Gaztezulo Video Contest in hopes of supporting the use of Basque by youth in audio/visual media. The contest is open to participants all over the world, as long as the language used in the video is Basque. We know that Basque students in Basque clubs have experience in this type of recording and we encourage you to participate and strive for the 1,200 Euro prize. Zorte on! (good luck!)
Donostia-San Sebastian. Videos may be submitted from October 7-November 10. This edition of the contest will include a jury comprised of audiovisual experts, like film critic Aitor Abaroa, director of Zinea.Eus, Maialen Goñi and filmmaker and journalist Koldo Almandoz.
The public's winner's name (Audience prize voted on the Gaztezulo.eus web) will be announced on November 28, and the names of the winners will be made public in December. The awards ceremony will take place at the Tabakalera in Donostia on December 16th.
Thanks to the Azkue Foundation, the best video will win 1,200 Euros, and second place will win 300 Euros. In addition, the video that gest the most votes on the Gaztezulo.eus website through November 10th will be awarded the Audience Prize with a pack of gifts from Gaztezulo.
