Corpus Christi, Argentina. The thriving Basque Country in the province of Misiones will gather members and Friends this Saturday to participate in two activities. On the one hand, Elisa Goya, club member who began the Euskara Munduan Basque Language Program in January, will talk about her first Barnetegi experience and teacher training. Next, the club will hold Family Bingo always in hopes of raising money for the club. The event begins at 5:30pm.
The Corpus Christi Basque Club also announced a date for its traditional Basque-Argentine-Guarani Cultural Festival, that will take place August 28-30, date chosen since the 26th of the month coincides with the club’s 15th anniversary. As part of the festivities, along with the Mbyá-Guaraníes communities the community is proposing an Intercultural Gathering at the Guarani Jesuit Complex, recently built and yet to be inaugurated at the entrance of the former Jesuit city of Corpus Christi.
Among those attending are Cesar Arrondo who will give talks and Carlos Gabilondo who will show Basque films for all ages. The complete festival program will be published in the coming days.
