Buenos Aires, Argentina. After nearly three months of isolation in Argentina and with the certainty that things will not change too much in the coming weeks, FEVA has just confirmed that its intensive Euskara Munduan course will take place virtually. The Barnetegi will take place on July 18-25 and will include the participation of 35 teachers in training from Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.
According to Arantxa Anitua, FEVA’s president, the activity will take place on Schoology, that is totally adapted by local experts so that the course can assimilate, as much as possible, the face-to-face version: “It is our task to provide answers to these paradoxes and at FEVA, we are very proud not only to respond but to be pioneers in the modality that we are proposing," says the Lehendakari.
The Barnetegi will be coordinated by the director of Euskara Munduan, Kinku Zinkunegi from the Basque Country and taught by South American local teachers, also trained in the program. “This is another point that we would like to stress,” Anitua added “The possibilities and resources that we have here that also allow us to face the situation.”
The new four year cycle of the Euskara Munduan Program that began in San Nicolas in January, will therefore stay true to its path, as the course will take place along the same lines as in-person meetings. “We want to thank the Etxepare Basque Institute and especially Kinku Zinkunegi for having supported us in the proposal. It is a moment of great uncertainty, and we believe continuing our activities is reassuring to the community, that despite everything we are moving forward," concludes Anitua.
