Buenos Aires, Argentina. Days pass, and isolation is prolonged and the only thing that is sure, is the shared uncertainty. But as we are also seeing, the capacity to generate gatherings on virtual platforms is endless. Laurak Bat is also joining in, inviting the Basque community to celebrate “Buenos Aires Celebrates the Basque Country- BAC” 2020, virtually on the date is was originally scheduled..
On May 10th, at its usual time (noon-6pm) the Basque club will broadcast on its social media. There will be live participants, as well as videos that will be recorded ahead of time, games and raffles to encourage interaction, and the public is invited to post contents of previous BAC editions, “we are always striving to share culture, food, music, dance, language, sports…from Euskal Herria to the largest audience possible.”
In regards to this point, the president of Laurak Bat, Arantxa Anitua, tells EuskalKultura.eus that the city of Buenos Aires is working on a platform from which to transmit the festival to, as always, “reach the neighbors of Buenos Aires and overcome the limits of the community itself. . "We know that these are difficult times, but we do not want BAC dedicated to the Basque Country to go unnoticed," says Anitua, already working on the new challenge.
