Buenos Aires, Argentina. Only two weeks left until “Buenos Aires Celebrates the Basque Country – BAC 2019” and the Laurak Bat is now working on the last details of the event that surprises annually and continues growing. The oldest Basque club in the worls invites the community to participate in the festival and as of today, there are several Basque clubs, institutions, groups and businesses that have gathered to provide a large array of Basque cultural manifestations in Argentina.
The institutional representation will include the Government of Navarre for the third year in a row with a stand manned by Miriam Veguilla. Eusko Jaurlaritza will accompany the community with Director of the Basque Community Abroad, Gorka Alvarez Aranburu, and the Delegate of Euskadi, Sara Pagola attending with the Basque-Argentine federation FEVA also participating with its board at the forefront.
The 9th edition of BAC will take place on May 12th on the Avenida de Mayo between Bolivar and Chacabuco Streets. Activities will begin at noon with a Tamborrada and parade of students form the Euskal Echea School, until 5:30 pm with proposals listed below:
