Boise State University Women’s Soccer team is headed to the Basque Country for a cultural immersion trip

The women’s soccer team is preparing for a trip to Barcelona and Donostia May 9-18th. Before leaving they took time out to learn more about the Basque culture touring the Boise Basque Museum and Cultural Center and the Jacobs-Uberuaga boarding house, as well as finding out more about the Basque culture in Boise.
Boise, ID. The BSU Bronco women’s soccer team is getting excited about its upcoming trip to Barcelona and Donostia-San Sebastian, May 9-18th. As part of its preparation, they have taken time out to learn more about the Basque culture from the Boise Basque Museum and Cultural Center and also had an opportunity to tour the Cyrus Jacobs-Uberuaga Boarding House located on Boise’s Basque Block.

As head coach Jim Thomas said, “That’s the thing that we are most excited about is to see what the players really draw out of it and how we as a coaching staff can mold that towards preparing them for life, doing better in the classroom and doing better on the pitch.”
The women will first travel to Barcelona and then continue onto the Basque Country, specifically to Donostia.
