Mendoza, Argentina. The local euskal etxea will welcome visiting Basque artist, Mario Paniego, who comes to Mendoza as part of his South American tour. Paniego, who inaugurated his exhibition on December 7th “Instruction Manual” in Valparaiso, Chile that will be exhibited through January 9th, has now come to Mendoza to give a talk about his works, at Denak Bat. The presentation at the Basque club won’t be the only one that Paniego gives on this side of the Andes, since he also taught a workshop at the College of Art and Design a the University of Cuyo on Tuesday.
The talk will take place today at 7pm and is supported by the Etxepare Basque Institute. Admission is free and the talk is open to the public.
In regards to Paniego, remember that he is originally from Bilbao and has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of West England, with graduate work done at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU).
This is Paniego’s second visit to Argentina. Along with exhibits in Buenos Aires and Valparaiso, his works have also been exhibited in the Basque Country, Spain, Croatia, Germany, England, the Czech Republic and South Korea.
