The Tonala Theater in Mexico City will be the site on Friday September 18th of a sampling of Basque short films, selected from the Kimuak program. Shorts to be shown include Estamos pocos, Un novio de mierda by Borja Cobeaga and Sintonia and Lagun Mina by Jose Mari Goenaga, two new young talents in Basque film. Admission is free.
Mexico City, Mexico. This Friday, September 18, film fans will have a chance to enjoy a session of Basque film and for free besides at the Tonala Theater. Basque shorts will be shown, organized by the Caóstica and FICUNAM (International Film Festival at UNAM).
The purpose of this projection of Basque short films is to present some of the most outstanding productions of the Basque Coiuntry. The works of such directors as: Borja Cobeaga (Éramos pocos and Un novio de mierda), Jose Mari Goenaga (Sintonía and Lagun Mina), Aritz Moreno (Bucle), Koldo Serra (El tren de la bruja) or Kote Camacho (La gran carrera) will be enjoyed. All of these films are part of the Kimuak catalog, an outreach program for Basque film.
The work of the team formed by Pedro Rivero and Alberto Vazquez, (Birdboy), winner fo the Goya Award for the best Animated Short in 2012 will also be shown.
