Sabrina Otegui / Buenos Aires-Arrecifes, Argentina. Talented and with the humility of the greats, Adrián Charras has fulfilled the dream of many musicians to play at the Colon Theater in Buenos Aires. He did not get there alone; Charras plays with the Trova Rosarina - an emblematic group of artists that includes Juan Carlos Baglietto, Jorge Fandermole, Adrián Abonizio, Fabián Gallardo, Rubén Goldín and Silvina Garré among its members - and also with Lito Vitale.
But for those of us in the Argentine Basque community, Adrian is much more than that. He is “Maral,” the Basque-Argentine group that not only entertains at Semana Vascas on this side of the ocean, but also who represented Basque Diaspora music and musicians at the International Day of Euskera 2008 in Vitoria-Gasteiz invited by the Basque Government.
Adrian is a Basque-Argentinean, and like many othes, came to a Basque club one day to learn more about his origins. We will let him tell us the rest. Mila esker, Adrian!
