Buenos Aires, Argentina. Basque director, Maider Oleaga, will present her documentary this Saturday in the Argentine capital city entitled “Muga deitzen da pausoa,” (Step to the limit). The film was shot in Donostia in Euskera and will be shown with Spanish subtitles. The film focusses on the meeting of two women in an area of San Sebastian, one of them is alive and a film writer, while the other, Elivra Zipitria Irastortza, was a pioneer in the Ikastola movement and died in 1982.
Maider Oleaga, originally from Bilbao, is the film maker and screenwriter, and has worked on other feature-length films like “La Pelota Vasca. La Piel Contra la Piedra.” She also participated on the collective film ‘Gure oroitzapenak’, based on the work by Joseba Sarrionandia.
“Muga deitzen da pausoa” (Step to the limit) will be shown on Saturday the 23rd only at 7pm as part of the Espanoramas 2019 cycle at the Gaumont Theater, Rivadavia 1635, CABA. Admission is $30. Students and seniors will pay $10.
