San Juan, Argentina. The National Sun Festival begun on Tuesday and will run through Saturday, February 29th with a rich program that includes shows by international figures, among other activities. The festival takes place at the Costanera Fair Grounds in the provincial capital city, and local communities take part annually including the Basque community through San Juango Eusko Etxea.
This year’s edition, members of the Euskal Etxea will have a gastronomical/cultural stand with Eduardo Barrios in charge of the cooking. Barrios has prepared a variety of pintxos including ham, cheese and cherry tomatoes, Basque chorizo with olives, and meat.
The cultural side of the stand will be run by Eduardo Ochoa, Silvia Escudero and Paula Ochoa, who will provide information about Euskal Herria, and on Basque surnames, as well as the club’s activities.
