The Basque-Argentinean delegation formed of people from the area of Saladillo, province of Buenos Aires, will leave from Argentina on April 26 to tour the most significant places in the Basque Country for two weeks. Besides visiting historic towns and cities, the proposal includes becoming submerged into the Basque culture and enjoying food, festivals, and sports among other experiences. Deadline to make reservations is November 15.
Saladillo, Argentina. With the support of the Itxaropen Basque club in Saladillo and organized by the local Tenaglia Turismo company and Euskotour, in the Basque Country, the trip is aimed at Basque families in Saladillo and the area, but also to anyone who would like to get to know, or return to Euskal Herria and enjoy its landscapes, and above all, its cultural offerings, customs that are so coveted by the Basque Diaspora in Argentina.
That is why the tour plans to travel through Hegoalde as well as Iparralde with circuits on the coast as well as in the interior of the country, making stops in small towns in the Pyrenees, but also in capital cities like Bilbao, Donostia, Baiona, Vitoria-Gasteiz or Iruña-Pamplona. They will also visit touristic sites like the caves of Zugarramurdi and Santimamiñe, the Tree of Gernika, and coastal villages from Bizkaia to Lapurdi, and also the inland country. And since a visit of the Basque Country wouldn’t be complete without enjoying good food and drink, the itinerary also includes tastings of talo, pintxo tours and lunch/dinner tours of cellars and cider houses.
