Neuquén, Argentina. The Festival of Collectivities in Neuquen took place November 9-11 and was attended by communities representing some 20 countries, including for the first time, the Basque Country. The Euskal Etxea founded in 2016 called “Baskos de la Confluencia” was part of the event with two stands: one that provided cultural information and another food stand. These were manned by some 15 people who worked tirelessly during the three days.
The cultural stand provided a panorama of the Euskal Herria with images and music, and included information on rural sports.
The food stand’s hottest item was chorizo in cider that was very well received, “surpassing other pintxos that were also very good, and enjoyed great success,” Oscar Mendiberri told EuskalKultura.com.
Satisfied with how its debut went, Baskos de la Confluencia have already confirmed their participation at the 2019 event.
